About

AI work should be safe, observable, and useful.

Etenos exists for a simple belief: AI employees only belong in real production teams if they're policy-driven, observable, and reversible — not autonomous black boxes you hope behave.

the belief

The pause is the point.

We've all watched an AI assistant push a broken branch at the worst possible time. The lesson isn't "less AI" — it's that consequential work needs a contract. A place where the agent stops, shows exactly what it's about to do, and waits.

So we build AI employees the opposite way to a runaway agent: a long, legible, gated pipeline you can leave running while you step away — because every step with a side effect has to stop and ask. Read-only by default. Local by default. Audited by default.

Syntaxis, our AI Software Engineer, is the first of these employees. QA, Analyst, and PM follow — each a specific role, each on the same runtime, each operating under the same contract.

what we value

How we decide what to build.

Gated over autonomous

If a step has a side effect, it waits. We'd rather ship a careful junior than a confident stranger.

/01

Legible over magical

Every run is a sequence you can read. No "AI magic," no hidden steps.

/02

Local over uploaded

Your code is yours. The default is that it never leaves the machine.

/03

Recorded over remembered

If it happened, it's in the audit log — for you, your team, and your auditors.

/04

We'd like to hear how you ship.

If you have an opinion about approval policies, branch naming, or where the audit log should live — that's exactly the conversation we want.
